Attention plumbers, electricians, construction workers or anyone who uses a commercial vehicle to get from one job site to the next, Ford just announced the newest version of their popular Ford Transit Connect cargo van. The new 2016 Ford Transit Connect offers dual sliding cargo doors on medium and high roof models, which gives this cargo van the most configuration of any vehicle in its class. It also boasts a rearview camera with the option to display the area behind the vehicle.
Sync 3 Infotainment System
The Sync 3 infotainment system is a major upgrade from the MyFord Touch system. The Sync 3 offers better voice control with easy-to-read graphics, faster performance, more conversational voice recognition, and a touchscreen that operates similar to a smartphone.
Increased capability for upfits
The 2016 Ford Transit Connect features auxiliary fuse panels to power custom upfit accessories with a single absorbed glass mat (AGM) battery designed for drivers who need to power extra lights or other equipment.
Available Options
Fleet managers can add on a speed limitation feature that caps top speeds at 70mph, which reduces fuel costs and promotes safe driving habits. The flex fuel vehicle system comes standard on vans with 2.3- liter I-4 engines, but customers can choose the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine. There’s also the option to include a perimeter alarm with available remote start. This feature detects security threats through impact and shock sensors, which may help lower insurance costs.

Customers can start customizing their 2016 Ford Transit Connect vehicles online starting August 11th, with vans available at Ford dealerships beginning in September.
